The intuos pro is what I am currently using and it is the smoothest and most customizable trackpad option I have experienced by far. If you get one with touch support you can use it like a giant trackpad. I have spent a good bit of time working through setups and I have some recommendations to add. The next thing I’m going to try is the ugly evoluent vertical mice since the trackpad might be causing some other issues from pronation. It got frustrating because I like super low sensitivity with larger mice and there just isn’t enough desk space. One thing I have tried is two mice (not trackpad) to the sides of my keyboard. For now the compromise is putting one in the middle. If it is on the side, I’d have to either compromise on using both hands, or do some awkward movement if say it is on the right and I want to mouse with my left hand then get back to typing, or straight to get two trackpads/mice. So the options are in the middle or to the left or right. I also like to use the mouse with both hands (not at the same time) if one hand/wrist happens to be feeling better or worse. For me it is a compromise - I have my split really far apart, like a foot in between, more than any pictures I see here.
